Viewing of Ferguson: A Report from Occupied Territory
The film, Ferguson: A Report from Occupied Territory, will be shown on Sept. 9, Wednesday, 6 PM, at Western Carolina University’s Hinds University Center Theater in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
We are cosponsoring this with WCU’s Office of Intercultural Affairs and Democracy NC.
With this showing, we want the public to realize the Ferguson riots and street protests in other cities are more than a response to one person’s death. Communities of color are fed up with being targeted, racially profiled, and disrespected by local criminal-justice systems. This film seeks to tell the truth about racial inequality and the dynamics of police departments and the communities they serve.
Hope to see you there and join us for a community discussion afterward.

How exciting to be co-sponsoring with WCU on this event!
Bill and I are looking forward to the screening there next Wednesday.
My kudos and appreciation to the Political Action Committee (aka Roger et. al.) for the considerable organizing work that was involved in setting this up!
