It has been 50 years since Dr. King’s life was prematurely snuffed out.

What has happened to his dream, his vision for us and our nation? His relevance is evermore obvious in today’s world.

Now is the time we recommit ourselves to finally ending the 3 evils he so often spoke against: poverty, militarism, and racism.

Now is the time to embrace the beloved community, humanity in all its diversity, in love.

Please bring a sign with your favorite MLK quote, without a stick, as per Sylva ordinance.

Let us raise our eyes and souls together.  Now is the time.
