Health Committee

The Health Committee promotes, protects and maintains the health of African Americans, Indigenous and people of color. It helps assess the health needs of the community in coordination with local county health assessment surveys as well as other government and nongovernmental research organizations to provide accurate and statistically meaningful data to guide health policy. The Health Committee also advocates for equal access to health education, care, treatment and research for all Americans, sponsors health-related activities such as health forums, fairs and workshops highlighting issues of importance to people of color.
