The Jackson County NAACP will honor the finalists and announce the winners of its 2019 Biennial Individual and Organizational Humanitarian Awards. The honorees were chosen from a field of WNC residents and groups within NC’s six western-most counties: Cherokee, Graham, Clay, Swain, Macon and Jackson.
Reverend Charles Lee is the speaker; there will be music by the Liberty Baptist choir. There are refreshments after the awards are announced.
The event on Saturday, November 2nd will take place at 2:00 pm in the Community Room of the Jackson County Public Library, Keener St., Sylva NC 28779. The honorees’ families, friends and the public are invited.
